Hello! We are Darshan & Megha, a happy husband-wife duo, who founded Ethereal Studio in 2018. Since then, our family has grown and continues to grow bigger and better.
Between us, Darshan is an engineer, who found his love to shoot behind the lens in his final year, and went on to do his masters in photography later, and Megha is an MBA in finance and speaks modest French.
We love to meet new people, experience new places, cultures and stories, and we are grateful that our work today allows us to do just that :) That is a picture a dear friend took for us in 2023 on the French Riveria in Nice, a place very close to our hearts. How was Ethereal born?
Ethereal Studio was born out of a passion for people and portraits. Our experience with wedding photography combined these two and here we are today!
Since our start in 2018, we've had the privilege of capturing the magic of over 200+ celebrations. We open ourselves to the realm of capturing moments through fine-art portraits and documentary style photographs. It involves us working with the light and the environs around creatively to create ethereal images for you.
What is your philosophy?
‘Present over Perfection’.
We believe in the magic of this mantra and make it our one true goal to witness and document the essence of what it feels like. Our uniqueness as individuals is intriguing. We are believers in the power of human connection and like we said before, we love exploring different cultures, expressions and personalities.

What is your style of Photography?
In portraits, we explore a spectrum—from personality-inspired portraits to fine-art portraits. Beyond portraits, our focus shifts to storytelling through documentary photography. We aim to capture the happy, the emotional, and the vulnerable moments of your life. Our approach is rooted in keeping it real and simple, letting your genuine story unfold naturally, keeping your comfort in mind. We have found through experience that couples love the portrait sessions where they get to be themselves and mostly have fun while we focus on make enchanting photographs of them.
What is your style of filmmaking?
We believe in organic and real films with a narrative, capturing the unscripted moments of your special day with a documentary approach, ensuring that your love story unfolds naturally, without any alteration.
In addition to capturing the visual moments, we believe that sound plays a vital role in preserving the essence of a wedding. When we say 'sound,' we're talking about dialogues candidly captured, heartfelt speeches and the emotions expressed through audio snippets. It could even be the song that encapsulates the vibe of your entire wedding party!
What kind of weddings do you enjoy to shoot?
We've discovered our passion for capturing both intimate and grand weddings, but what truly defines our joy is the connection with our clients.
We find fulfilment in shooting weddings for today’s evolving couple who love to meticulously plan their special day. We're drawn to settings where the decor is eco-friendly and organic, where we meet families that uphold strong values and their rich cultural traditions.
Our sweet spot is working with couples who have prioritised being present over perfection, allowing them to forget about the camera and genuinely kindle connections, savouring every little and big moment with friends and family.
Our journey has been shaped by many such amazing couples who've not only refined our taste but have welcomed us into their families, showing immense trust in our creative process, and helping us flourish, and for which, we are very thankful.

What are your deliverable timelines?
Our photograph deliveries typically take 8-12 weeks.
Crafting documentary films is an intricate process, involving close collaboration with various elements to breathe life into the film. Film deliveries, given the detailed nature of the process, are completed between 16-24 weeks.
